About Us

Interior Space Consultants (ISC), is a full service, interior design corporation established in 1976. Although our primary experience has been interior design and related services for various commercial projects throughout the southeast, in the late 1990’s ISC added residential design to its portfolio.

Whether it is new construction, a renovation, or a simple 'refresh', we have aided our clients in all phases of projects. From design development, selections, and specifications, to purchasing and installation, ISC specializes in turn-key service. Our focus has always been to provide the best planning, quality of product, and service, of which we are capable within our client's desired budget and time constraints.

Who We Are

In 1976, Interior Space Consultants began as a partner to H. Lloyd Hill Architects out of Gainesville, Georgia. For 27 years these two firms collaborated on every project. Natural progression (retirement of previous owners, evolution of e-commerce and the internet, and changes to the financial world) dictated the new direction that ISC took, including new ownership.

Shaye Bryson, Owner and President
Shaye began as a junior designer at ISC in 1996 after graduating from the University of Georgia, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She became a licensed designer in 2003 and continues to maintain her credentials in the state of Georgia. After working as a senior designer for several years, Shaye purchased HLH’s stock interests and full ownership of ISC in 2003. She continues to evolve the company into areas that were not previously part of ISC’s business model. Shaye currently performs as a senior designer providing clients with design concepts, renderings, and project management in both commercial and residential fields.

Beth Kirkpatrick, CFO, Sec’y
Beth has many years of experience in both business and financial management. Her background in the medical field has been invaluable to any project in the healthcare industry. Although she is a naturally creative person, she is also a talented painter and an inspiring partner. Beth came on board in 2008, part-time as our office manager/bookkeeper. In her current position, she is responsible for all contract documents, purchase orders, accounting and business office management. And…getting us our 4:00 glass of wine!

Our Philosophy

As a natural part of the design process, we work with our clients to develop standards to meet their individual requirements.

For our commercial clients, we analyze space utilization needs, project for growth, and then use this information to develop a successful floor plan. With residential clients, however, we focus more on individual habits and lifestyles, current trends, and how to best add value. Our firm is passionate about our profession, and we strive to provide our clients with a “perfect project.”

We believe we are hired both for our expertise and for our flexibility to consider our client’s needs first.
